Financial Controller

Are you a fully qualified accountant? Do you have strong experience working within a manufacturing or complex project-based environment? Are you experienced in cost accounting, WIP and financial control? If so, a growing manufacturing business based in Leicester is actively seeking a Financial Controller to take responsibility for the delivery of the finance function! Financial Controller Permanent Position Monday – Friday, 9:00am – 5:00pm Hybrid – 2-3 Days WFH Once Established Leicester Financial Controller Job Responsibilities: Taking responsibility for the delivery of the finance function and managing a small finance team Ensuring accurate product costing, inventory valuation, financial reporting and effective control of WIP Managing WIP accounting across multiple production stages, investigating variances and improving financial controls Working closely with production, operations, procurement and supply chain teams to improve financial performance and reporting Supporting month-end, budgeting, forecasting, cost modelling and continuous improvement across the finance function Financial Controller Essential Skills: Fully qualified Chartered Accountant – ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CA or equivalent (CIMA preferred) Strong experience within a manufacturing, engineering or complex project-based environment, with a strong understanding of production and procurement processes Proven experience managing significant WIP balances, with strong knowledge of cost accounting and inventory accounting Knowledge of IFRS inventory accounting and experience using ERP systems
