Discrimination & Advice Officer Location: Belfast Salary: £15.97 per hour Contract: Temporary Working Arrangement: Office-based (37 hours per week) About the Role VANRATH are delighted to be partnering with a leading public body to recruit a Discrimination & Advice Officer to join their Advice and Compliance Division.

This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with a background in law, advisory work, or complaint handling to play a key role in promoting equality and addressing discrimination issues across Northern Ireland.
Key Responsibilities Provide advice and assistance to individuals who believe they have experienced discrimination, in line with equality legislation.
Assess and manage complaints received under various equality laws and codes of practice.
Conduct detailed case assessments, gather relevant information and documentation, and liaise with complainants, employers, and service providers.
Draft written correspondence and prepare reports or summaries to support decision-making processes.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date case records using internal systems.
Support the wider team in promoting awareness of equality legislation and good practice.
The Ideal Candidate A Law degree (or equivalent) is highly desirable.
Experience in an advisory, casework, or complaint-handling role, ideally within a public body, legal, or community sector environment.
Strong understanding of equality or employment law (training will be provided where required).
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to deal sensitively and professionally with the public.
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail when managing case files and documentation. xwzovoh
