Thrive Practioner

Now Education are currently recruiting for a compassionate and experienced Thrive Practitioner to work within a supportive PRU/SEND school in Runcorn. This is an exciting opportunity to make a genuine difference in the lives of children and young people who require additional emotional and behavioural support. This role will initially be offered on a temporary basis, with the opportunity to become permanent after 12 weeks for the right candidate. The Role You will work closely with pupils who may present with: * Social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs * Autism and additional SEND * Challenging behaviour * Trauma-related barriers to learning Using the Thrive Approach, you will support pupils in developing emotional resilience, improving engagement, and building positive relationships within school. Responsibilities * Deliver targeted Thrive interventions and emotional support * Build strong, trusting relationships with pupils * Support behaviour regulation strategies * Work collaboratively with teaching staff, pastoral teams and external agencies * Monitor progress and contribute to pupil support plans * Create a safe, nurturing and inclusive environment The Ideal Candidate * Holds a recognised Thrive Practitioner qualification * Has experience working within PRU, SEND or SEMH settings * Is calm, resilient and empathetic * Has strong behaviour management and relationship-building skills * Is passionate about supporting vulnerable young people * Team Teach training is desirable but not essential What Now Education Offers * Competitive daily rates * Dedicated and supportive consultant * Opportunity for a permanent contract after 12 weeks * Ongoing CPD and training opportunities * Rewarding role within a supportive school environment If you are passionate about helping young people overcome barriers and thrive both emotionally and academically, we would love to hear from you.
