Senior Mechanical Design Engineer (Tenet Consultants Ltd.)

NRL is offering Senior Mechanical Design Engineer positions with Tenet Consultants Ltd., an engineering consultancy headquartered in Warrington with a new office in Anglesey, North Wales.

Key responsibilities include:

• Concept & Front End Engineering Design (FEED) studies
• Equipment specification and detailed design
• Engineering substantiation and specialist mechanical handling design
• Mechanical piping design, manufacturing installation and commissioning support
• Periodic safety reviews and lifetime quality records (LQR)
• Safety system design and independent nuclear safety assessment (INSA) & peer review
• Checking of design documentation and technical bid evaluations

Requirements

• Experience working within a highly regulated industry, preferably nuclear.
• HND minimum, ideally degree qualified and working towards being a Chartered Engineer.
• Able to lead teams and develop younger engineers.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to perform mechanical design calculations, produce technical specifications and requisitions, datasheets, and perform technical bid evaluations.
• Must have the ability to obtain BPSS.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, Inventor and the General Microsoft Office package.
