Classroom Assistant – Reading (RG4 / RG7) Location: Reading, Berkshire Salary: £95–£105 per day, depending on experience Contract: Full-time, Monday to Friday Start Date: As soon as possible Hours: 8:30am–3:30pm, term time only Your Role As a Classroom Assistant, your responsibilities will include: Supporting pupils with their learning on a 1:1 and small-group basis. Helping pupils develop confidence, independence and positive learning behaviours. Supporting children with additional learning needs, including SEND. Encouraging positive behaviour and creating a calm, inclusive classroom environment. Supporting pupils' social and emotional development where required. Following school safeguarding, behaviour and health and safety procedures. The Right Person: We are looking for someone who is: Caring, patient and approachable. Enthusiastic about working with children and young people. Reliable, punctual and professional. A confident communicator who works well as part of a team. Able to build positive relationships with pupils. Calm and resilient when faced with challenging situations. Committed to safeguarding and promoting children's welfare. Previous experience in a school, childcare, youth work, SEND or support setting would be advantageous, although enthusiasm, the right attitude and transferable experience will also be considered.
