Senior Data Engineer

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Data Engineer to join a growing data team and contribute to the development of a modern cloud-based data platform.

You'll be responsible for developing scalable data pipelines, integrating multiple data sources, and delivering reliable datasets that support analytics, reporting, and operational decision-making across the organisation.

Working alongside data engineers, BI specialists, and business stakeholders, you'll play a key role in the ongoing evolution of the company's Azure-based data estate.

Key Responsibilities

* Build and maintain ETL/ELT data pipelines

* Integrate data from multiple systems and external providers

* Develop scalable and reliable data models

* Improve monitoring, testing, and platform performance

* Support data quality and governance initiatives

* Collaborate with BI teams to deliver trusted reporting datasets

* Contribute to platform improvements and architectural decisions

* Maintain documentation and data lineage records

Essential Skills

* Strong SQL development skills

* Experience with Python or a similar programming language

* Data engineering or data integration experience

* Understanding of data modelling and ETL/ELT concepts

* Experience implementing data validation and testing processes

* Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
