Nottingham (with travel to local sites)
Are you an engaging, hands-on Systems Analyst looking to make a direct impact across a dynamic business? We are seeking a Systems Analyst to join our IT team based in Nottingham.
In this role, you will be key in delivering first- and second-line IT support, maintaining business-critical systems, and driving continuous improvement. You won’t just be behind a desk—you will actively embed yourself within regional teams, visiting local sites, engaging with employees, and helping us leverage technology to work smarter, simpler, and more efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
* IT Support & Troubleshooting: Provide robust 1st and 2nd line support across all IT systems, software, and equipment used throughout the organisation.
* Site & Regional Engagement: Regularly visit local construction sites and attend regional forums (at least quarterly) to build strong relationships, gather feedback, and understand team requirements.
* System Design & Enhancement: Analyse existing workflows to modify, enhance, or adapt systems, integrating new features to boost efficiency and productivity.
* Client & External Systems: Work with customers and clients to manage and support access to key operational software and programs (e.g., Field View).
* Continuous Improvement: Analyse call logs to identify trends and underlying issues, update the internal IT knowledge base, and host weekly touchpoints to continuously improve IT support.
* Training & Upskilling: Deliver IT onboarding training for new starters to get them operational quickly and collaborate with Regional Directors to upskill regional teams.
* Documentation: Keep detailed, accurate records of systems, updates, and user support requirements.
What We Are Looking For
* Technical Capability: Strong knowledge of business software, hardware, and 1st/2nd line IT support processes.
* Communication & Engagement: Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust and strong working relationships with employees, regional leaders, and external clients.
* Analytical Thinking: Ability to identify trends in IT issues, simplify complex working processes, and design practical IT solutions.
* Proactive & Mobile: Based in Nottingham, willing and able to travel regularly to local sites and regional offices.
* Training Ability: Confident in delivering clear, engaging IT training to individuals and groups.
