In this role, you will take ownership of New Product Introduction (NPI) projects, ensuring products move smoothly from prototype to volume manufacturing while meeting performance, cost and quality targets.You’ll work cross-functionally with Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing and Programme teams to deliver robust, scalable solutions that support our business growth objectives.This is a hands-on, high-visibility role ideal for someone who thrives in a technical, fast-paced environment.WHAT YOU'LL BE DOINGLead NPI projects through all stages of design and process developmentDeliver new products that meet specification, manufacturability and cost requirementsApply NPI processes and ensure compliance with ISO9001 and future AS9100 standardsMaintain clear communication with stakeholders and meet project milestonesSupport quality improvements, including PFMEA leadership and risk mitigationAssist with RMA investigations and product-related technical queriesManage ECO classification and distributionCollaborate with Manufacturing Engineering on cost-reduction initiativesProvide product knowledge support to ongoing production when requiredWHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKEOn-time delivery of customer milestones and documentationStrong adherence to NPI gate schedulesTimely and effective corrective actionsReduction in design-related RMAsFully auditable project documentation aligned with site accreditationsWHAT YOU BRINGDegree in Engineering (Optics, Electronics, Mechanical, Software) or a Science discipline, or equivalent experience3+ years in an engineering or manufacturing environmentExperience in technical design, process development and project managementStrong communication and presentation skillsExperience in a manufacturing environment (essential)Photonics experience (advantageous)Familiarity with Syspro, NPI systems, Engineering Change processes and modelling softwareUnderstanding of project management methods in multi-disciplinary teamsWorking knowledge of H&S and risk assessmentsTHE ATTRIBUTES YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED AT G&HResults-driven and accountableA natural problem solverDetermined, proactive and detail-orientedCustomer-focused with strong technical judgementA team player who embodies the G&H values: Customer Focus, Integrity, Action, Unity, PrecisionWHY JOIN US AT G&HAt G&H, you’ll be part of a team shaping the future of photonics.
