We’re looking for an experienced Data Analyst to join a major transformation programme within the engineering, infrastructure and facilities management (FM) sector.
This is a hands-on data role with a strong emphasis on data quality, governance, stakeholder management and translating information from multiple sources into clear, usable datasets and business outputs.
You’ll join an established team of approximately 22 people, reporting to the Data Lead. You’ll also be expected to provide cover for the Data Lead when required, so confidence in client-facing meetings, governance forums and senior stakeholder engagement is important.
The Role
You’ll be responsible for gathering data from multiple sources, reviewing and cleansing information, converging datasets and ensuring data is managed effectively within a governed environment.
Key responsibilities will include:
• Collecting, cleansing, validating and analysing data from multiple sources
• Converging and reconciling datasets to create accurate and consistent information
• Identifying data trends, patterns, risks and opportunities
• Translating complex data findings into clear, actionable information for stakeholders
• Monitoring data quality and driving improvements in accuracy and consistency
• Supporting data governance processes, meetings and reporting
• Ensuring data activities comply with relevant governance, privacy and security requirements
• Working closely with Developers, System Test teams, Reporting/KPI teams, Business Analysts, Project Managers and Data Warehouse teams
What we’re looking for
You’ll be an experienced Data Analyst with strong analytical skills, excellent attention to detail and the confidence to work with a broad range of technical and non-technical stakeholders.
You should have:
• Proven experience in a Data Analyst, BI or similar data-focused role
• Strong experience gathering, cleansing, validating and reconciling data from multiple sources
• Experience working within structured data governance and data quality environments
• Strong documentation and process-mapping capabilities
• Excellent communication, presentation and stakeholder-management skills
• The confidence to lead or contribute to client-facing and governance meetings
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
Facilities Management (FM) industry experience would be highly advantageous, although it is not essential. Experience within complex engineering, infrastructure, outsourced services or similarly stakeholder-heavy environments would also be relevant. xwzovoh
The position will be predominantly home-based, with ad hoc travel required for internal and client meetings, largely in and around London.
