Job Descriptionhackajob is collaborating with Pro-Sight Vision to connect them with exceptional professionals for this role.\ NRabbitMQ Expert – Industrial Systems (Windows / .NET)\ NLocation: Remote with occasional on‑site office based day in Hoyland, Barnsley Contract: Short‑term consultancy or project-based engagement Start: Immediate\ NWe are looking for anexperienced RabbitMQ specialist to support a distributed factory‑floor data system built on Windows PCs with local RabbitMQ instances.\ NAbout the Environment\ NOur setup consists ofmultiple Windows‑based machines operating in a low‑connectivity factory environment (little to no internet access). Each machine hosts its own RabbitMQ instance and performs a specific role:\ N\n\n Node PCs:\ N\n\n Monitor individual pieces of factory equipment\ N\n Store equipment data locally in RabbitMQ\ N\n Write only to their own instance, but read from others over the local network\ N \n\n Central Controller:\ N\n\n Reads data fromall node RabbitMQ instances\ N\n Performs processing and aggregation\ N\n Writes processed data into its own RabbitMQ instance for downstream steps\ N \n\nData flows bi‑directionally between nodes and the controller. All applications are built in .NET (C# and VB) and run on Windows with the latest RabbitMQ versions installed.\ NWhat We Need\nWe are experiencing some issues with RabbitMQ behaviour and are seeking a true expert who can:\ N\n\n Review and optimise our RabbitMQ architecture\ N\n Analyse and improve our .NET integration and messaging patterns\ N\n Troubleshoot reliability, performance, and connectivity issues\ N\n Provide guidance on best practices for distributed messaging in low‑connectivity environments\ N\n Offer knowledge transfer to our internal team\ N\nIdeal Experience\ N\n\n Deep expertise in RabbitMQ, including clustering, federation, durability, and HA strategies\ N\n Strong understanding of Windows‑based deployments and local‑network messaging\ N\n Solid experience with .NET (C# and/or VB) RabbitMQ client libraries\ N\n Familiarity with industrial or offline/air‑gapped environments is a plus\ N\n Ability to diagnose complex distributed‑system issues\ N\nHow to Apply\nIf you’re a RabbitMQ expert who enjoys solving real‑world distributed‑system challenges, please get in touch with your experience, availability, and rates.
