Senior Quantity Surveyor – Glasgow

First People Solutions is recruiting for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a well‑established and highly respected contractor based in Glasgow.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a business with a strong pipeline of work across major infrastructure and civil engineering projects throughout Scotland, with a particular focus on Scottish Water frameworks.

The successful candidate will play a key role in the commercial management of projects from pre‑construction through to final account, working closely with operational teams and senior management to ensure successful project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Managing the commercial performance of multiple projects
• Preparing valuations, applications for payment, and final accounts
• Managing subcontractor procurement, payments, and accounts
• Producing accurate cost reports and forecasts
• Identifying and managing commercial risks and opportunities
• Supporting operational teams throughout project delivery
• Maintaining strong client and stakeholder relationships

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years' experience within a Quantity Surveying role, ideally within civil engineering or infrastructure projects
• Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, Construction Management, or a related discipline
• Previous experience working on Scottish Water frameworks is beneficial
• Experience operating at Senior QS level or ready to step into a senior role
• Strong contractual and commercial awareness
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively
• Full UK driving licence
