As the Head of Commercial, you'll play a key role in managing procurement activities and ensuring value for money in the public sector. Develop and oversee contracts to achieve value for money and operational efficiency. Maintain strong relationships with suppliers and stakeholders. Monitor contract performance and ensure adherence to agreed terms. Identify and mitigate potential risks in procurement and contracts. Provide expert advice on procurement and supply chain matters. Support the development of procurement policies and procedures. Prepare detailed reports and analysis to support decision-making.Profile A successful Head of Commercial should have: Experience in procurement or contract management within the public sector. Strong understanding of public sector procurement regulations and frameworks. Excellent negotiation and communication skills. Ability to analyse data and make informed decisions. Proficiency in stakeholder and supplier management. Knowledge of risk management in procurement processes. A professional qualification in procurement or a related field is desirable.Job Offer Salary up to £75,000 dependent on the level of experience. 32.5 days of annual leave, plus bank holidays.
