We are looking for a CNC Miller Setter Operator to work permanently for a company based in East Cheshire.

The role operates on a double-day shift pattern: Week 1: 6am2pm, Week 2: 2pm11pm.
CNC Miller Setter Operator job details:
To set and operate CNC milling machines to manufacture precision components to exact specifications in accordance with technical drawings and works orders. The role requires the ability to load programmes, operate CNC and manual milling machinery, and ensure all work meets required quality standards and production deadlines.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES for the CNC Miller Setter Operator:
-Prioritise works orders in accordance with Team Leader's instructions and work-in-progress requirements.
-Ensure material received is appropriate and cut to size. Refer any inaccuracies to the Team Leader.
-Load programmes to manufacture components to meet required specifications.
-Operate Hurco, Mori, VMC 1-5, and manual machines as required to produce components in accordance with the specification and drawing.
-Ensure that completed components are checked against the specification, de-burred, and engraved.
-Store any new programmes correctly for future access.
-Pass completed components to the correct area.
-Manufacture jigs and fixtures to aid the machining of components.
-Ensure that machine oil levels are periodically checked.
-Respond appropriately and quickly to machine alarms for maintenance purposes.
-Ensure that the machine and conveyor are left clean at the end of every shift.
-Re-set tools as required.
-Maintain a clean and tidy work area.
-Deal professionally and courteously with colleagues and Team Leader.
-Carry out any other reasonable duties as required.
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS for the CNC Miller Setter Operator:
-Experience working with CNC milling machinery.
-Experience working with manual milling machinery.
-Able to load programmes onto machines.
-Experienced in a workshop environment.
-Ability to read and interpret technical engineering drawings.
-Understanding of machining tolerances and specifications.
-Ability to use precision measuring equipment.
-Good organisational and prioritisation skills.
-Commitment to health and safety procedures.
DESIRABLE SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
-Experience with Hurco, Mori, or VMC machine controls.
-CNC programming experience.
-Jig and fixture manufacturing experience.
-Time-served or apprentice-trained background.
