Site Manager – Substation Project | Basingstoke Area 🚧 📍 Location: Basingstoke Area 📅 Start Date: ASAP ⏳ Duration: Until at least September (with potential for extension) 💰 Competitive Rate Available We are currently recruiting for an experienced Site Manager to oversee the successful delivery of a major substation project in the Basingstoke area. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established and highly respected civil engineering and infrastructure contractor with a strong reputation for delivering complex projects safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards across the UK. ⚡ The Role As Site Manager, you will take full responsibility for the day-to-day management of site operations, ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme, within budget, and to client expectations. Working within a live substation environment, you will be expected to demonstrate strong leadership, excellent communication skills, and a proven track record of managing teams and subcontractors on similar projects. 🔨 Key Responsibilities * 📋 Managing and maintaining all site documentation * 👷 Conducting daily briefings, toolbox talks, and site inductions * 📝 Managing and reviewing ITPs (Inspection & Test Plans) * 📅 Monitoring and managing project programmes and site progress * 📐 Completing take-offs and assisting with material requirements * 🚜 Ordering and coordinating plant, equipment, and site resources * 👥 Managing direct labour and subcontractors * 🦺 Ensuring health, safety, environmental and quality standards are maintained at all times * 🤝 Liaising with clients, engineers, and project stakeholders * 📊 Producing site reports and progress updates * ✅ Ensuring works are delivered in line with project specifications and deadlines 🎯 Requirements To be considered for this position, candidates must have: * ✅ Proven experience as a Site Manager working on substation projects * ✅ Strong understanding of civil engineering and infrastructure works within live substation environments * ✅ SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) * ✅ Must hold a valid NG Persons qualification * ⭐ CP (Competent Person) Ticket is desirable * ✅ First Aid at Work (desirable) * ✅ Strong organisational and leadership skills * ✅ Ability to manage multiple work fronts and site teams effectively * ✅ Full UK Driving Licence 🌟 What's on Offer? * Long-term project running until at least September * Opportunity to work with a leading infrastructure contractor * Supportive and professional project team * Competitive rates * Immediate start available 📩 If you have the relevant substation experience and are available to start immediately, we'd love to hear from you.
