Due to internal career progression. we are looking to recruit a Senior AI Engineer for our client, an electronic manufacturer based in Newbridge, South Wales.
Auto Insert experience is NOT essential.
We’re keen to hear from experienced Engineers from an electronics manufacturing environment, including backgrounds such as:
* Surface Mount Technology (SMT)
* PCB / PCBA Manufacturing
* Automated Electronics Production
* Electronics Assembly & Manufacturing Equipment
* Process / Manufacturing Engineering within electronics
You’ll take technical ownership within the department – improving machine performance, reducing downtime and defects, driving continuous improvement and helping develop new systems, processes and future technical capabilities.
We’re looking for someone technically strong who is ready to step up, take ownership and make an impact.

Main Purpose of Role
To Manage, and Coordinate all Technical aspects of A.I Dept, ensuring that all machinery and Technical capabilities meet customer requirements.
Outcomes of Role
* Achieve Zero Defects off all Auto Insert Machinery, Whilst Maximising machine utilisation and minimising Downtime
* Coordinate all Technical Staff to meet Daily Production requirements.
* 100 % Achieve Dept. KPI in line with Business Strategy
Responsibilities
* To Control Dept. Technical Budgets and Spends
* To Research future Technical Developments which will promote business Development
* To Develop and Implement new systems and processes to ensure continuous improvement.
* Advise Technical Engineering, through on-going discussion on any Technical / Systems resolutions. (Technical Review)
* To Represent A.I in Technical Meetings.
* Control and manage the ordering of machine spares to ensure appropriate minimum stock quantities are on site at all times
* Monitor the department’s performance against set KPIs on a daily basis.
* Prepare and plan information for discussion at monthly technical and quality meetings.
* Ensure that all company operating values and compliance procedures are adhered to at all times, including quality management, health and safety, legal stipulation, environmental policies and general duty of care.
* Any other duties deemed necessary
