Senior / Lead SISS Telecoms Engineer 📍 Basingstoke, Ipswich or London (Hybrid Working) 📄 Permanent - Salary CIRCA £55,000 + Benefits - dependant on experience We're supporting a growing rail engineering consultancy looking to appoint a Senior / Lead SISS Telecoms Engineer to join their expanding rail team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced telecoms professional to work across a diverse portfolio of major UK rail infrastructure projects, providing technical leadership and delivering telecoms solutions from concept through to detailed design and project delivery. You'll work with systems including SISS, CCTV, PA, CIS, Help Points, Access Control, Structured Cabling and IP Network Infrastructure. What You'll Be Doing Leading telecoms design and engineering activities across multiple rail projects Acting as the technical authority for SISS and telecoms systems Producing and reviewing designs, specifications and technical documentation Supporting assurance, verification and acceptance activities Working closely with clients, contractors and multidisciplinary teams Supporting bids, framework opportunities and business growth Mentoring and developing junior engineers What We're Looking For 3-10 years' experience within rail telecoms engineering Strong knowledge of SISS and associated telecoms systems Experience delivering telecoms design solutions within the UK rail sector Understanding of rail industry standards and project delivery processes Excellent stakeholder management and communication skillsDesirable: Lead Engineer, CRE or Design Lead experience Knowledge of PACE, GRIP or similar delivery methodologies Chartership or working towards professional registration Experience supporting bids and client development activities What's On Offer?
