Distribution Supervisor

We are seeking an experienced and highly organised Distribution Supervisor to oversee the efficient operation of a local distribution depot based in Tunstall, Kent. This role requires a professional who can ensure safe and compliant operations while maintaining the highest standards of customer service. Key Responsibilities: * Manage day-to-day depot operations, ensuring compliance with health, safety, transport, and regulatory standards (e.g., Poisons regulations, BASIS, HSE, Fire Regulations). * Ensure prompt and accurate distribution of supplies, maintaining accurate stock, cash, and property records. * Lead, recruit, develop, and motivate the depot team, overseeing performance, training, and employee lifecycle management. * Monitor and maintain site compliance with internal audits and legislation, escalating issues as needed. * Implement and uphold service standards, operational procedures, and ways of working. * Promote innovation and identify opportunities to drive business performance. * Act as safety officer, ensuring a secure and safe working environment for staff and the public. * Maintain effective communication within the depot team and with broader distribution and commercial teams. Skills & Experience: * Proven experience in depot or distribution management. * Strong understanding of compliance, regulatory requirements, and safe operating procedures. * Excellent leadership, coaching, and team development skills. * Strong organisational, communication, and problem-solving abilities. * Experience managing budgets, stock, and operational reporting.
