Mechanical Fitters

Location: Birmingham
Salary: £16.00- £20.00 per hour
Contract: Permanent / temporary opportunities
Precise Recruitment Services Ltd is seeking skilled Mechanical Fitters for opportunities with engineering and manufacturing companies across Birmingham and the surrounding areas.
Key responsibilities
Assemble, install and maintain mechanical machinery and equipment.
Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
Fit and align components, including bearings, shafts, motors and gearboxes.
Diagnose mechanical faults and carry out repairs.
Complete planned maintenance to minimise equipment downtime.
Use hand tools, power tools and measuring equipment accurately.
Follow health and safety procedures and maintain a tidy working area.
Skills and experience
Previous experience as a Mechanical Fitter or in a similar engineering role.
Ability to work from engineering drawings.
Strong mechanical assembly, maintenance and fault-finding skills.
A recognised mechanical engineering qualification or apprenticeship is desirable.
Experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems would be advantageous.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
