Design Coordinator The RoleWe're looking for a Design Coordinator to support the successful delivery of infrastructure projects by coordinating the flow of design information between designers, clients and project teams.This is a predominantly office-based role, focused on ensuring design information is accurate, complete and issued on time before progressing through the project lifecycle. It would suit someone who enjoys working at the centre of a project, coordinating multiple stakeholders and ensuring information is managed effectively.Key ResponsibilitiesReview design information submitted by consultants and designers to ensure it is complete, coordinated and ready for client issue.Identify design queries, inconsistencies and missing information, feeding these back to the design team for resolution.Act as the key link between designers, clients and project teams, ensuring information flows efficiently throughout the design process.Coordinate the production, review and distribution of design documentation.Maintain document control procedures and ensure all project information is accurately recorded and tracked.Monitor design deliverables against programme milestones and support the wider project team to keep designs on schedule.Ensure designers have the information required to progress their work and remove barriers where possible.Work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to support the successful delivery of projects.About YouWe're keen to speak to candidates who have experience in one or more of the following:Design coordination or design management.Civil engineering or infrastructure design consultancy.Client-side project or information management.Document control within engineering or construction projects.Project coordination within infrastructure or major construction environments.You'll ideally have:Experience coordinating design information across multiple disciplines.Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.The ability to manage multiple deadlines and stakeholders simultaneously.Good communication skills and confidence working with designers, clients and project teams.An understanding of infrastructure project delivery and design processes.What's Different About This Role?Unlike a traditional Site Engineer position, this role is focused on design management rather than site delivery. Site visits are limited, making it ideal for someone looking for a more office-based role while remaining closely involved in major infrastructure projects.It also offers an excellent opportunity for candidates from a design consultancy or client-side background who enjoy coordinating technical information and helping projects run smoothly from design through to delivery.Salary:Up to 50k DOELocation:Glasgow Type:permanentSUBMIT CV
