This is a genuine working supervisor role where you'll lead by example, supporting production on the shop floor while driving quality, productivity and continuous improvement. You'll play a key role in ensuring customer expectations are met, production targets are achieved and your team has the support they need to succeed, while keeping morale and motivation high. We are a well-established precision manufacturer with a reputation for quality, reliability and outstanding customer service. The Role: Supervising the daily operation of the laser cutting department Leading, motivating and supporting the laser cutting team Planning and allocating workloads to meet production schedules Operating and setting laser cutting machinery when required Carrying out first-off inspections and ensuring products meet customer specifications Working closely with Programming, Production Planning, Quality and Operations teams Supporting recruitment and induction of new team members Promoting a strong health and safety culture across the department What We're Looking For: Previous experience team leading or supervising xkybehq a laser cutting department or manufacturing team Experience operating laser cutting machinery A strong understanding of engineering drawings and sheet metal fabrication Excellent planning, organisational and problem-solving skills The ability to prioritise workloads and meet production deadlines Strong communication and people management skills A quality-focused approach with excellent attention to detail Desirable: Experience with Bystronic, Trumpf, Amada or similar laser cutting equipment Knowledge of ERP or MRP systems Lean Manufacturing or Continuous Improvement experience Forklift licence First Aid qualification
