Job Overview:The Associate Piping Engineer utilizes existing Piping procedures to solve routine or standard problems. They receive instruction, guidance, and direction from others within the team, and they will leverage their conceptual knowledge of theories, practices, and procedures related to Piping and Engineering. Essential Qualifications and Education:Bachelor's Degree or Master's Degree in Engineering0-3 years of experience in oil and gas  Learning the content and application of standards, codes, and guidelines as applicable Learning design techniques and analysis methodsPreferably Registered Engineer in Training (EIT) or member of professional engineering society as applicableEager to learnWorking knowledge of English, both oral and writtenHSE, TQM, and cost-consciousShow flexibility and ensure proper hand-over with regards to:The reassignment to other departments, construction sites, and fabrication yardsThe replacement of colleagues during illness and holidaysThe provision of assistance to other colleagues with heavy workloads (also other projects) when possible/desirableThe managing/learning of future current working methods and software applicationsAccredited engineering degree as may be required by specific regionsIs familiar with the use of codes and standards #LI-LJ1#LI-DNI#LI-HYBRIDKey Tasks and Responsibilities:Perform detailed design engineering, analysis, and calculations on basic engineering tasksApply knowledge and skills to complete routine assignments under close supervision and mentoringPrepare clear and accurate detailed design calculations and analyses, including design reports and proceduresOrganize own work to meet deadlines set by othersClearly communicate information, asking questions, and checking for understandingGain an understanding of the project scope of work, specifications, schedule, and all inter-discipline requirementsPrepare/Review MTOs for requisitionsReview vendor data with guidance from colleaguesDevelop awareness of costs related to own workBecome familiar with P&IDs, Line List, Equipment Layouts, Plot Plans, Piping Specifications, and Design BasisAssist with the preparation of the Special Piping Items and required datasheetsAssist with the preparation of the Piping Material and Valve specificationBecome familiar with fundamentals and Code requirements for Pipe Stress CalculationsBecome familiar with pipe Stress Analysis software (Caesar II) and assist with simple stress analysisAssist with design calculations like pipe wall thickness, reinforcement pad, trunnion support, etcAssist with Material Requisitions, Technical Queries, Tech bid Evaluations, and Purchase Requisitions of Engineered Piping EquipmentReview and assist with checking of the vendor documentation  Reports To:      Project: Lead Engineer      Functional: Supervising Department Manager      Liaise With:  Engineers, Design Supervisor, and Designers of their own discipline Full timePosting Date: 2026-07-01
