Project Health & Safety Advisor contract

We’re looking for a Health & Safety Advisor who is visible, approachable and credible on the shopfloor. You’ll help colleagues do the right thing; so we continue to strengthen day-to-day safety at Forza, meet our legal duties, and keep raising standards through practical, continuous improvement. Deliver routine site inspections and audits; Complete and review risk assessments, COSHH and SSOW for tasks, equipment and processes. Support H&S inductions for new starters, contractors and visitors; Maintain key H&S documentation, registers and records (training, inspections, statutory checks) and contribute to KPI reporting. Support emergency preparedness: procedures, drills and follow-up actions from drills/inspections. Support contractor management on site, including safe working arrangements and supervision standards. Take ownership of H&S improvement projects and other reasonable duties as required. Proven experience in a Health & Safety advisory role within a manufacturing/industrial environment. Practical experience completing risk assessments, inspections, audits and incident investigations. Working knowledge of UK Health & Safety legislation and HSE expectations. Woodworking risk management (LEV, wood dust, DSEAR). Fire safety governance (Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005). Contractor & permit-to-work systems. Health surveillance programme coordination. NEBOSH General Certificate (or equivalent) and commitment to ongoing CPD. Strong report writing and attention to detail; Internal auditor training/qualification (ISO 45001). NEBOSH Fire Certificate or equivalent fire safety training. Fewer incidents/near misses, with improved reporting quality and learning. Planned inspections/audits completed and actions closed out on time. Risk assessments/SSOW completed and reviewed to schedule. Inductions and priority H&S training delivered on time and to standard. Positive audit/inspection outcomes and sustained legal compliance.
