- may be required to work to 5am when required Salary: £14.75 Duration: Temp to perm for the right candidate Scope of the job: As a vital member of our Production Team, the Machine Operator (Floater) will report directly to the Line Leader and Production Team Leader.
This role places a strong emphasis on effective collaboration, teamwork, and interaction with fellow operatives and the Departmental Supervisor.
The primary responsibilities encompass the execution of mechanical duties related to equipment used within our production environment, machinery operation, and serving as the first point of contact for maintenance.
The position also entails routine mechanical tasks and the essential upkeep of machinery to minimise downtime and ensure the seamless and efficient operation of our equipment.
To provide cover within the production department as to and where required: Intake Department To ensure that the lorries are loaded and unloaded adequately, production weight and loaded into the hoppers Alfa Laval Department
- To produce a top-quality edible beef dripping (oil from process) in keeping with customer requirements and specifications, maintaining the quality and safety of the product necessary to achieve this objective Bleaching D epartment
- To ensure the secondary process of oil is finished to the highest standard of quality and safety prior to the packing procedures Drying Department
- To produce and pack dried edible beef protein fit for human consumption under strict safety and quality procedures Packing Department
- To package a finished good, in keeping with customer order requirements, specifications and times whilst maintaining the quality and safety necessary to achieve this objective Despatch Department
- To dispatch product to customer as per the customer order and specification.Complete necessary stock takes, stock rotation and documentation WWTP Department
- To run the WWTP to ensure that all effluent being discharged from site meets specification.To ensure that the yard is clean and tidy and always audit ready.
Specific Accountabilities 1.

Ensures strict compliance with relevant sections of BRC & Customer food quality standards to uphold our commitment to compliance.
Collaborates closely with the Departmental Supervisor to achieve departmental goals and agreed-upon Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
Constantly adheres to all health and safety policies and procedures.
Undertakes any other reasonable duties within one's capability to fulfil the company's needs.
Ensures immaculate cleanliness, tidiness, and compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Health & Safety Audits in all department areas.
