Are you an enthusiastic and committed Science Teacher seeking a role within a forward‑thinking Multi‑Academy Trust (MAT)? A highly regarded secondary school in Nth Dorset is looking to appoint a Teacher of Science from September 2026.
This is a fantastic opportunity that would particularly suit an Early Career Teacher (ECT) who is looking for strong mentoring, high‑quality training, and a supportive environment to begin their teaching career. Applications from experienced teachers are also warmly welcomed.
✨ The Role
You will teach Science across KS3 and KS4, with opportunities to teach KS5 depending on experience and subject specialism. You'll be joining a collaborative and well‑established Science department that values innovation, enthusiasm, and academic excellence.
Key responsibilities include:
* Planning and delivering engaging Science lessons aligned with the national curriculum
* Teaching across Biology, Chemistry, and/or Physics depending on your expertise
* Creating a positive, inclusive, and well‑managed classroom environment
* Differentiating learning to meet the needs of all pupils
* Contributing to departmental planning and wider school initiatives
✅ The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for a reflective, motivated, and passionate practitioner who:
* Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or a recognised UK equivalent
* Has a degree in a Science subject or closely related field
* Is an ECT or experienced teacher with strong subject knowledge
* Demonstrates effective behaviour management and communication skills
* Is committed to inspiring young people and raising achievement
ECTs will benefit from:
