Our solutions support better decision-making across the healthcare ecosystem and drive meaningful progress in life sciences.Team OverviewIQVIA’s Financial Institutions Consulting (FIC) team advises investors (inc private equity, venture capital, hedge funds) on biopharma and life sciences investments, including commercial due diligence, asset and target screening, portfolio company growth strategy and exit/divestment strategy.Successful candidates will have the opportunity to engage with clients on high-profile strategic investment decisions across a variety of transaction situations, business models and strategic issues. We operate in a multi-cultural, collaborative and fast-paced work environment, that is rich in development and growth.Role & ResponsibilitiesAs a Consultant within IQVIA’s FIC team, you will be responsible for delivering projects primarily in the areas of due diligence (buy- and sell-side), asset/portfolio/company valuation, asset screening and growth strategyLeverage consulting and/or transaction advisory experience, IQVIA information and expertise, and methodological know-how to deliver discrete workstreams / modules that address client / business questions.Solve strategic issues / diligence questions through a structured and evidence-driven approach, working both independently or in small teams as part of project workstreamsDrive development of high-quality deliverables on a day-to-day basis, leveraging primary and secondary research approaches, including deriving analytical and qualitative insights to support assessmentsServe as a core team member and workstream lead, including responsibility for presenting / communicating key project insights and recommendations to project management / leadership – ensuring engagement satisfaction and supporting long-term enhancement of client relationshipsContribute to overall FIC team capabilities, including (but not limited to) the development of intellectual property, marketing materials, training, recruitment and proposal developmentAbout YouCandidates interested in joining IQVIA FIC as a Consultant should have:Minimum of 4-5 years professional experience in strategy consulting, M&A/BD&L roles or within a financial institution (e.g. private equity, venture capital).Experience advising clients on commercial issues in the biopharma / life sciences industry and/or financial investors, including exposure to projects related to transactions / investments (due diligence, valuation, asset identification, growth strategy, forecasting)Experience working in multi-disciplined teams, including prior workstream oversight responsibilitiesStrong quantitative / analytical and qualitative research skillsets, supported by a problem solving mentality, keen eye for detail and critical thinking. Ability to drive primary/secondary research and analysis to assess business performance and synthesise findings into client deliverablesWell-developed written and verbal communication skills including presentations and report writingKnowledge of key issues and current developments in the biopharma / life sciences industryEvidence of career progression in consulting and/or transaction advisory rolesIn addition to the skills and experience above, a Consultant should have:Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
