Senior Full Stack .NET Engineer (React / APIs)
Location: UK - Remote first, but open to 1 day, twice per month or monthly day in Portsmouth
About the Role
We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Full Stack Engineer to join a collaborative development team working on a complex, integration-focused platform. This is a product-focused role where you will design, build, and maintain scalable, high-performance web applications that support real-time operational workflows.
You will play a key role in shaping system architecture, delivering robust solutions, and supporting critical production systems.
Key Responsibilities
Define system objectives by analysing user requirements and business needs
Design and develop web applications using C#/.NET (ASP.NET Core) and modern frontend frameworks
Build and maintain RESTful APIs and integration services
Contribute to architectural decisions, evaluating technical solutions and trade-offs
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enable system interoperability
Troubleshoot development and production issues across multiple environments
Support high-availability systems with ongoing maintenance and monitoring
Participate in Agile development processes and team discussions
Maintain high standards through code reviews, testing, and continuous improvement
Provide guidance, mentoring, and technical support to other developers
Create documentation and tools to support system usage and maintenance
Stay up to date with emerging technologies and best practices
Skills and Experience Required
Strong experience with C# and .NET (ASP.NET Core)
Proven experience building web applications and REST APIs
Experience with React (Angular or Vue also considered)
Solid understanding of full stack development principles
Experience with cloud platforms (Azure preferred)
Exposure to microservices and distributed systems
Strong database experience (e.g. SQL Server or equivalent)
Familiarity with CI/CD and DevOps practices
Strong problem-solving and debugging skills
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Ability to manage priorities and work across multiple projects
Desirable
Experience working on integration-heavy platforms
Experience supporting production systems with high availability requirements
Previous mentoring or leadership experience
