Stock Controller

THERE IS NO SPONSORSHIP FOR THIS POSITION This is based in Newport, Shropshire (TF10) * Stock Management: Monitor, record, and manage stock levels daily and update data in computer systems and internal databases, ensuring accurate stock rotation. Ensuring knowledge of all stock locations. * Stock Checks & Audits: Conduct regular stock takes, investigate discrepancies, and ensure all inventory records are accurate and up to date. * Order Processing: Work closely with procurement and production teams to ensure stock is available for packing operations. Pack plan adherence. * Receiving & Dispatch: Oversee incoming deliveries from the warehouse, and quantity of goods, and ensure stock is stored correctly. * Data Entry & Reporting: Maintain accurate stock records using RDT Scanners to scan stock into the correct location and ensuring that the Prophet system is always correct and up to date. * Waste Reduction: Monitor stock expiry dates and help reduce waste by optimising stock movement and storage. Follow stock usage plan to Ensure that the stock is used for the correct customer. * Health & Safety / Food Safety Compliance: Ensure all stock handling complies with food safety and health regulations, including daily safety checks on equipment. Report any issues regarding health and safety immediately. Maintain good condition of materials and handling equipment. * Team Collaboration: Work closely with warehouse, quality control, production and logistics teams to ensure smooth operations. * GMP: Ensure stores are always left to audit ready standards. * Reasonable Requests: follow any reasonable requests made by management. KEY COMPETENCIES Forklift license (Essential). PPT licence (Preferred) Previous experience as a Stock Controller or in a similar inventory management role, ideally in the food or fresh produce industry. Adaptability to learn new tools quickly and stay positive when plans change. Time management and prioritizing take efficiently to meet tight deadlines and without getting overwhelmed. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines. Proficiency in using inventory management software and Microsoft Excel. Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards (HACCP experience is a plus). Good level of physical fitness, as some lifting and manual handling may be required. Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
