Junior Quant DeveloperQuant Capital is urgently looking for a Junior Quant Developer to join our high profile client.Our client is a $10 billion strong Hedge fund with performance figures of 23%.The fund is going through an exciting period of technological enhancement to further improve the speed and quality of trading information and execution, in order to enhance its competitive advantage. All the funds trading-related software applications are built in-house, and developed using a combination of internal and external developer resources. Such software applications cover the full spectrum of the trading environment.

Their growth plans for the business are substantial, and ongoing software development is integral to delivering that vision.The key responsibilities of the role are to:Support the Quant Trading team in data analysisTake ownership of gathering, understanding and cleaning data; using ETL tools to source data from a variety of sourcesDesign and implement architecture for data storageExtend utilisation of off-the-shelf tools such as QlikView, Tableau or D3, and create internal tools for data visualisation and explorationPerform statistical analysis and implement machine learning algorithms for finding trading strategiesThis role will give you massive exposure to trading in the front office as well as a niche understanding of commodities trading and hedge funds.Junior Quant Developers MUST have:A degree in computer science or a quantitative subjectAt least 2 years’ programming experience, ideally in PythonExperience of data analysis or machine learningExperience of financial markets, statistics and big dataMy client is based in LondonJunior Quant Developer, Quantitative
