Our client, a leading organisation within the rail and infrastructure sector, is seeking a Site Engineer for a contract opportunity across mutliple loactions in the South. The role will support construction operations on site, with responsibility for setting-out activities, site supervision and the coordination of junior engineers and subcontractors. Previous experience in highways or structures is essential, with rail sector experience desirable.Key Responsibilities:Supporting construction operations and supervising site engineering activitiesLeading and supporting junior engineers, contributing to their performance and developmentLiaising with the Sub-Agent and Section Foreman to allocate labour, plant and materialsWorking with the setting-out team to ensure activities are delivered to the required standards, programme and budgetIdentifying and resolving technical issues in liaison with the senior team and Sub-AgentMonitoring and coordinating subcontractors to ensure works meet contractual requirementsEnsuring the site team has access to current information, drawings and required resourcesAssisting with programmes, progress reports, resource and cost plans, and financial forecastingJob Requirements:Relevant HNC, degree or equivalent qualification in construction or civil engineeringWorking towards professional institute membership, such as ICEValid CSCS card at White, White-Yellow, Red Experienced, Black Manager or Gold Supervisor levelPrevious experience in highways, heavy structures or a closely related construction environmentPractical knowledge of site engineering, setting-out and construction supervisionStrong understanding of construction standards, programmes and contractual requirementsAbility to identify and resolve technical problems effectively on siteFull UK driving licence and access to a vehicleIf you are an experienced Site Engineer with highways or structures expertise and the required CSCS certification, apply now.
