The Role: Cloud Engineer - Oracle Fusion & Cloud Infrastructure
This is a critical technical role focused on the design, implementation, and maintenance of secure, high-availability cloud environments, directly supporting the operation and integration of Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP, HCM, and SCM applications.
You will be instrumental in managing the Oracle Cloud Infrastructure landscape, driving DevOps automation, optimising performance, and ensuring compliance across all environments. This role is suited to someone passionate about cloud automation, infrastructure security, and the operational excellence of mission-critical ERP systems.
Key Responsibilities & Focus Areas
OCI Infrastructure Management: Design, deploy, and maintain Oracle Cloud Infrastructure resources, including compute, networking, storage, and security. Manage environment provisioning, maintenance, and synchronisation for the Oracle Fusion Cloud landscape.
Automation & DevOps: Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Terraform or OCI Resource Manager. Implement CI/CD pipelines for Fusion extensions and integrations using tools such as Jenkins, GitLab, or Azure DevOps.
Fusion Environment Control: Manage and support the technical operations around Fusion quarterly updates, patches, and custom deployments. Ensure effective version control and environment synchronisation across the Fusion lifecycle.
Security & Compliance: Implement and monitor security best practices for OCI and Fusion, managing IAM, roles, and policies. Ensure technical compliance with ITIL and SOX frameworks.
Performance & Support: Analyse, optimise, and troubleshoot complex issues involving Fusion environments, OCI services, and cloud/on-premise integrations. Collaborate with Oracle Support for critical service request management.
Essential Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
5-8 years of experience in Cloud Engineering or Infrastructure roles, with a strong focus on Oracle technologies.
Hands-on expertise with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure components, including networking, compute, storage, security, and IAM.
Practical experience managing the technical operations and environment maintenance for Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP, HCM, and SCM.
Strong knowledge of DevOps, CI/CD, and Infrastructure as Code using tools such as Terraform and Ansible.
Proficiency in Linux/Unix environments, scripting with Bash or Python, and version control using Git.
Demonstrable experience managing Fusion quarterly updates, patches, and related integrations.
Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and cross-functional communication skills.
Desirable Skills
Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Certified Architect / Professional.
Familiarity with Oracle Integration Cloud and API Gateway configurations.
Experience with monitoring and alerting tools, such as OCI Monitoring, Grafana, or Splunk. xwzovoh
Exposure to other major cloud platforms, including AWS or Azure.
