Quality Assurance Supervisor (QA) – Temp to Perm
Northampton, NN5
£14.79 per hour
Sunday to Wednesday, 8:00pm – 6:00am
4 nights per week, finishing at 6:00am Thursday
Temporary ongoing with potential to be made Permanent
We are urgently recruiting for a Quality Assurance Supervisor (QA) to join a busy food manufacturing environment.
This is a fantastic temp-to-perm opportunity for an experienced QA professional looking to secure a potential permanent position.
Key Responsibilities:
The purpose of the role is to ensure that food safety, quality and production standards are consistently maintained across the site.
Your responsibilities will include:
Carry out regular quality and food safety checks to ensure high standards are maintained.
Monitor production areas and make sure procedures are being followed correctly.
Complete routine GMP, hygiene, glass and hard plastic audits.
Support with HACCP and QMS checks and help identify any areas for improvement.
Complete quality paperwork, certificates and product release checks.
Take and submit samples for laboratory testing when required.
Carry out checks and calibrations on key equipment.
Work closely with the Production and Management teams to resolve any quality or food safety issues.
Support with training and help ensure team members are following the correct procedures.
Take part in production taste panels.
Spend around 80% of your shift on the production floor, working closely with the team.Skills, Qualifications & Experience
We’re looking for someone who:
Has a positive, can-do attitude and works well as part of a team.
Is reliable, organised and able to work independently.
Has good attention to detail.
Is confident communicating with both colleagues and management.
Can work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
Is comfortable working on the production floor.
Has basic knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel.
Is flexible and happy to help when needed.
Has previous experience in food manufacturing, QA or a technical role – this is desirable but not essential.
Has knowledge of food safety, HACCP, GMP or quality procedures – an advantage but not essential.

We’re looking for a hands-on and reliable QA professional who enjoys working as part of a team and takes pride in maintaining high standards.
You’ll spend most of your shift on the production floor, working closely with the Production and Technical teams. You’ll also need to be comfortable working independently during the night shift and confident raising any quality or food safety concerns when needed.
