Butcher (Day Shift)

Quality meat preparation takes skill, accuracy and an eye for getting every cut right. As a Butcher (Day Shift), you’ll use your full carcass skills to prepare a wide range of meat to exact customer specifications, helping maintain the standards expected by pubs, restaurants, hotels and caterers across the local area.   Working within a busy wholesale environment, you’ll be part of an established operation where quality, consistency and portion control matter. You’ll handle different meat types, work accurately to specification and help minimise waste without compromising the finished product.   What’s in it for you £16.00–£20.00 per hour, depending on your skills and experience Daytime working hours of 10:00am–7:00pm The opportunity to use and develop full carcass preparation skills A varied workload preparing products for hospitality and catering customers Work with an extensive range of meat and customer specifications Join a growing operation with a strong focus on quality and consistency  Your responsibilities as Butcher Break down full carcasses and prepare different meat types to customer requirements Cut and portion products accurately against individual specifications Maintain consistently high standards of presentation and quality control Control portions carefully to help reduce unnecessary product waste Follow relevant food safety and workplace safety procedures Complete preparation efficiently within a fast-paced wholesale environment  What we’re looking for in a Butcher Full carcass cutting and meat preparation experience Previous experience within a wholesale meat production environment Strong knowledge of portion control, product quality and waste reduction Knowledge of food safety requirements within a licensed cutting plant would be advantageous Ability to cut a variety of meat types accurately to different specifications  Working hours: 10:00am–7:00pm   If you have strong full carcass skills and want to put them to use in a busy, quality-focused environment, apply today for this Butcher (Day Shift) position
