About the role
Worcester Wolves is seeking enthusiastic and ambitious Athlete Development Coaches to join the Worcester Wolves Wheelchair Basketball coaching team and support the individual development of athletes across the programme.Working with Women’s Premier League and development athletes, you will provide high-quality, targeted coaching that helps players develop their technical and tactical skills, build confidence and maximise their potential.As an Athlete Development Coach, you will work closely with the Head Coach to identify individual player strengths and development needs, delivering position-specific coaching, personalised feedback and additional skill development opportunities alongside the wider team programme.A key focus of the role will be supporting individual athlete progression. You will contribute to Individual Athlete Development Plans and help emerging players develop the skills and understanding required to progress through the Worcester Wolves pathway and into the Women’s Premier League environment.Working as part of the wider Worcester Wolves coaching team, you will contribute to an inclusive, positive and athlete-centred environment that encourages learning, confidence and continuous improvement. You may also support talent identification, development camps and pathway activities as the programme continues to grow.This is an exciting opportunity for coaches who are passionate about individual player development to work within an established wheelchair basketball programme and make a direct impact on the development and progression of athletes.These are hourly paid, fixed term, Band 6 appointments, with coaching hours allocated flexibly across the season in response to athlete and programme needs.Please note that if not already an employee of the University of Worcester, the appointed candidate will be employed through our subsidiary company Uniworc Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of University of Worcester. Appointees of Uniworc Limited will automatically be enrolled into the Aviva FlexHE defined contribution pension scheme (subject to earnings and other eligibility criteria).
