Are you an experienced Events Manager who enjoys taking ownership of exhibitions, conferences, trade shows and customer events from initial planning through to delivery?
We are looking for an Events Manager to take responsibility for the company's growing events programme, helping to increase brand visibility, strengthen customer relationships and generate new commercial opportunities. This is a highly hands-on role where you will manage the complete event lifecycle from researching and selecting the right events, negotiating with suppliers and managing budgets, through to on-site delivery, customer engagement and post-event analysis.
The Role
As Events Manager, you will have ownership of the company's event calendar and will be responsible for delivering a professional and engaging presence across industry exhibitions, conferences and customer-facing events.
Key Responsibilities
Take ownership of the annual events and exhibitions calendar.
Research and identify relevant UK exhibitions, conferences, trade shows and industry events.
Evaluate events based on audience, commercial opportunity, cost and potential return.
Manage the complete event lifecycle from initial planning through to post-event follow-up.
Coordinate venues, exhibition organisers, contractors, suppliers and other third parties.
Manage event budgets, negotiate costs and ensure expenditure remains within agreed budgets.
Organise exhibition stands, equipment, promotional materials, literature and branded assets.
Coordinate event logistics including travel, accommodation, equipment, set-up and breakdown.
Attend and manage events across the UK, ensuring a professional company presence.
Work with the sales team to agree objectives, target customers and lead-generation strategies for each event.
Coordinate pre-event marketing and customer invitations to maximise attendance and engagement.
Engage directly with customers and prospects during events and identify potential sales opportunities.
Ensure all event leads are accurately captured, recorded and handed over to the sales team.
Manage post-event follow-up and measure leads, opportunities and commercial outcomes.
Produce reports on event performance, costs, leads and ROI.
Gather customer feedback and market intelligence to support wider commercial strategy.
Develop customer relationships through events, site visits and other face-to-face activities.
Support customer testimonials, case studies and event-related content.
Work with the marketing team on promotional campaigns, social media and digital activity surrounding events.
Continually review event performance and recommend improvements to maximise future results.

About You
We're looking for an organised, commercially minded and confident Events Manager who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and is comfortable taking ownership of projects from start to finish.
You will ideally have:
3+ years' experience in event management, exhibitions, trade shows or a similar events-focused position.
Proven experience managing events from planning through to delivery.
Experience managing event budgets and external suppliers.
Strong project management and organisational skills.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
Confidence representing a company and engaging with customers and senior stakeholders.
A commercially focused approach, with an understanding of lead generation and event ROI.
The ability to manage multiple events and deadlines simultaneously.
A proactive approach with strong attention to detail.
A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel nationally.
Experience within engineering, manufacturing, industrial, construction, environmental, energy or another technical B2B sector would be advantageous. xwzovoh
