Lecturer & Programme Lead – Electrical Installation Location: Sunderland College – HICSA Campus Contract: Permanent, Full Time Hours: 37 hours per week Salary: £31,375 - £40,912 per annum Holidays: 48 days plus Bank Holidays Pension: Teachers' Pension Scheme with 28.68% employer contribution Employer: The Supply Register (on behalf of EPNE) We are currently recruiting for two Lecturer & Programme Lead – Electrical Installation positions at Sunderland College's HICSA Campus. This is a fantastic opportunity for experienced electrical installation professionals and lecturers who are passionate about developing the next generation of electricians within a Further Education environment. The Role As a Lecturer & Programme Lead – Electrical Installation, you will deliver engaging and inspiring lessons across electrical installation programmes, helping learners develop the skills, knowledge, and behaviours needed to succeed within the electrical industry. You will also contribute to programme development and support the continued success of the curriculum area. Key responsibilities include: • Delivering Electrical Installation lessons to FE students and apprentices • Planning, preparing, and assessing learning in line with curriculum requirements • Teaching both practical workshop sessions and classroom-based theory lessons • Supporting learners with target setting, progress reviews, and achievement of qualifications • Monitoring learner progress and maintaining accurate student records • Promoting safe working practices and current industry standards within practical environments • Supporting curriculum development and continuous improvement initiatives • Promoting safeguarding, equality, diversity, and professional standards within the classroom What We're Looking For • A minimum Level 3 qualification in Electrical Installation • Level 2 Maths and English (or equivalent) • Strong industry experience within Electrical Installation • Strong communication and interpersonal skills • Ability to motivate and support learners to achieve their goals • Previous teaching experience is desirable but not essential • Experience mentoring, supervising, or supporting apprentices would be advantageous • A genuine interest in working with young people and helping them develop their careers • Level 5 Diploma in Education and Training (desirable), although full support will be provided to achieve this qualification if required • Enhanced DBS Child Workforce plus Child Barred List check (or willingness to obtain) Benefits • Permanent, full-time position • Competitive salary of £31,375 - £40,912 per annum • 48 days annual leave plus Bank Holidays • Teachers' Pension Scheme with 28.68% employer contribution • Fully funded support to achieve a Level 5 Diploma in Education and Training • Excellent professional development and career progression opportunities • Opportunity to join an Ofsted Outstanding college group and make a real impact on the next generation of electrical professionals Safeguarding Statement The Supply Register and EPNE are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people, and vulnerable adults.
