Dartford, Kent

We are working with an established ductwork contractor based in Dartford that is looking to appoint an experienced Ductwork CAD Draftsperson to join its team.

This is a role for someone who already understands ductwork design and coordination, is confident using AutoCAD, and can make an immediate contribution to the business without requiring extensive training.

The successful candidate will be responsible for producing accurate ductwork drawings, attending sites to carry out surveys, and working closely with project and installation teams to ensure drawings are practical, coordinated and suitable for manufacture and installation.

You will be responsible for:
Producing detailed ductwork drawings using AutoCAD
Preparing and amending fabrication and installation drawings
Carrying out site surveys and measurements
Producing drawings from site information, specifications and project requirements
Coordinating ductwork layouts with other building services and construction elements
Identifying clashes or practical installation issues before works commence
Liaising with project managers, site teams and fabrication teams
Updating drawings following design changes and site variations
Ensuring drawings are accurate and issued in line with project programmes
Supporting projects from initial survey through to installation
You should have:
Previous experience as a Ductwork CAD Draftsperson / CAD Technician / Ductwork Detailer
Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD
Good practical understanding of ductwork systems and installation
Experience carrying out site surveys
Ability to take measurements and translate site conditions into accurate drawings
Good understanding of construction drawings and building services coordination
Ability to work independently and manage your own workload
Strong attention to detail
The confidence and experience to hit the ground running
A background working directly for a ductwork contractor, HVAC contractor or specialist building-services subcontractor would be particularly relevant.

A full UK driving licence is essential , as the position involves travelling to project sites to undertake surveys and liaise with site teams.
Package
£50,000 - £55,000 basic salary , depending on experience, plus company vehicle
