Science Technician - Secondary Schools (Rhondda Cynon Taf)
Start Date: September
Pay: £16.11 to £20.00 per hour
Are you organised, practical, and interested in supporting science education? We are currently working with a number of secondary schools across Rhondda Cynon Taf who are expected to have Science Technician opportunities from September.
We are keen to speak with candidates now to build a strong talent pool ahead of the new academic year.
The Role
As a Science Technician, you may be responsible for:
Preparing and setting up equipment and materials for practical science lessons (Biology, Chemistry and Physics)
Solution preparation and chemical handling
Supporting teachers with lesson preparation and demonstrations
Maintaining and organising laboratory equipment and resources
Ensuring all practical work is carried out safely and in line with regulations
Managing stock levels and ordering supplies where required
Keeping labs clean, safe and ready for use

Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Experience working in a school environment is desirable
Understanding of health & safety in a lab setting (training can be provided)
