School Support Staff - Derby (DE21) - ASAP Start Pay: £110 - £120 per day (depending on experience) Contract: Temporary / Long-term Hours: Full-time, Monday - Friday We are currently recruiting for dedicated, reliable, and caring School Support Staff to join a supportive school in the Derby (DE21) area for an immediate start. This is a great opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting children and young people in education and contributing to a positive and inclusive school environment. Role Responsibilities: Supporting pupils across the school with a range of needs Assisting teaching staff with classroom learning and activities Providing 1:1 and small group support where required Supporting behaviour, engagement, and emotional wellbeing Helping to implement support plans and school strategies Promoting a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment Supporting the day-to-day running of the classroom and school Requirements: Experience working with children or young people (school experience desirable) Transferable skills from care, support work, youth work, or similar roles welcome Strong communication and teamwork skills Patient, calm, and adaptable approach Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff DBS Requirement: Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (Child & Adult) preferred OR willingness to obtain a new Child & Adult DBS before startingThis is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to make a real difference within a school setting.
