Our client is scaling a specialist engineering team and is looking for a Principal Mechanical Design Engineer to lead the development of advanced, high-performance technical systems.

The Opportunity

This is a hands-on, senior role where you’ll take ownership of mechanical design, guide key technical choices, and help turn proven concepts into reliable, manufacturable products.

You’ll work closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams across mechanical, electrical, optical and systems design, with real influence over product direction, build quality and engineering standards.

About You

You’ll likely bring strong mechanical CAD experience, confident design judgement, and a track record of taking complex equipment from prototype towards repeatable manufacture.

Experience with FEA, precision assemblies, vacuum systems, cryogenics, pressure systems or regulated engineering environments would be a bonus.
