General Foreman – Heathrow Airport (Night Shift) Location: Heathrow Airport, West London Rate: Competitive (Inside IR35) Duration: Long-Term Infrastructure Project Shift Pattern: Nights We are currently seeking an experienced General Foreman to join a major civil engineering project at Heathrow Airport, working with a leading Tier 1 contractor on long-term airside infrastructure works. This is an excellent opportunity to be part of one of the UK's most high-profile infrastructure programmes, delivering complex civil engineering works in a fast-paced airport environment. Key Responsibilities Oversee and coordinate night shift construction activities. Manage site teams, subcontractors, and plant operations. Ensure works are delivered safely, on programme, and to specification. Monitor quality standards and ensure compliance with ITPs and company procedures. Conduct briefings, toolbox talks, and daily shift handovers. Liaise with Engineers, Site Managers, and Project Management teams. Ensure RAMS are implemented and followed at all times. Drive productivity while maintaining the highest safety standards. Requirements Proven experience as a General Foreman on major civil engineering or infrastructure projects. Background in works such as earthworks, drainage, utilities, pavement construction, reinforced concrete, highways, or airside projects. Strong leadership and workforce management skills. Good understanding of health, safety, environmental, and quality requirements. SSSTS or SMSTS preferred. Heathrow clearance or previous airport experience is advantageous but not essential.
