anzuk Education are delighted to be supporting a highly regarded independent school in Richmond Upon Thames in their search for a dedicated and experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA). This is a fantastic full‑time opportunity for someone passionate about supporting learning and making a meaningful impact across a wide age range.
About the Role
We are looking for an enthusiastic HLTA to join the school from September 2026 The successful candidate will work with pupils aged 11-18, delivering targeted intervention sessions primarily in:
* English
* Maths
* Science
You will work closely with class teachers, learning support staff, and school leaders to raise attainment and help pupils develop confidence, independence, and a love of learning.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver small‑group and 1:1 interventions across core subjects
* Support teaching and learning in classrooms where required
* Provide high‑quality learning support tailored to individual pupil needs
* Assist with planning, preparation, and assessment in collaboration with teachers
* Foster an inclusive, nurturing, and positive learning environment
* Contribute to the wider school community and uphold its values
Requirements
* HLTA status or equivalent qualification/experience
* Strong subject knowledge in English, Maths, and Science
* Experience supporting pupils in primary or lower‑secondary settings
* Excellent communication, organisation, and behaviour‑management skills
* A proactive, collaborative, and child‑centred approach
* Enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply for one through anzuk)
