Primary teacher
Are you a qualified teacher with a passion for transforming the lives of young people with additional needs? This Mainstream primary school in Knowsley is seeking a dedicated, creative, and resilient teacher to deliver personalised education to a small group of young people with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and/or learning disabilities.

The Role
Deliver highly personalised learning plans aligned with each young person’s EHCP
Teach core subjects and functional skills through creative, accessible approaches
Work closely with the care team, therapists, and external professionals
Support communication development, emotional regulation, and independence skills
Adapt your teaching to meet sensory, behavioural, and cognitive needs
Celebrate progress in all its forms — academic, social, and personal
What We’re Looking For
QTS is essential
Experience with ASD, learning disabilities, or complex needs (or a strong desire to develop this)
A reflective, child‑centred approach
Creativity, patience, and emotional resilience
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Ability to adapt teaching to individual needs and learning styles
