Are you a qualified teacher with a passion for transforming the lives of young people with additional needs? This Mainstream primary school in Knowsley is seeking a dedicated, creative, and resilient teacher to deliver personalised education to a small group of young people with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and/or learning disabilities.

  • Work closely with the care team, therapists, and external professionals

  • Support communication development, emotional regulation, and independence skills

  • Adapt your teaching to meet sensory, behavioural, and cognitive needs

  • Celebrate progress in all its forms — academic, social, and personal

  • What We’re Looking For

  • QTS is essential

  • Experience with ASD, learning disabilities, or complex needs (or a strong desire to develop this)

  • A reflective, child‑centred approach

  • Creativity, patience, and emotional resilience

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills

  • Ability to adapt teaching to individual needs and learning styles
