Field Service Engineer – Dumfries - £50,000 + Overtime + Company Van

The Job: Our client is seeking a Field Service Engineer to join their team, covering Scotland. The role involves servicing, maintaining and supporting customer equipment across Dumfries, Ayrshire, Glasgow, Edinburgh and surrounding areas. Working independently in the field, you will be responsible for fault finding, repairs, preventative maintenance and ensuring excellent customer service at all times. This is a Monday to Friday position, working 8:00am – 5:00pm, with participation in an on-call rota of 1 week in every 5.

Responsibilities

• Service, maintain and support customer equipment across Dumfries, Ayrshire, Glasgow, Edinburgh and surrounding areas.
• Fault finding, repairs and preventative maintenance.
• Work independently in the field and provide excellent customer service.
• Participate in an on-call rota (1 week in every 5).

Candidate / Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Field Service Engineer, Service Technician or Maintenance Engineer.
• Confident working independently across a range of customer sites.
• Strong fault finding and diagnostic skills; practical problem solving ability.
• Customer focused with excellent communication skills.
• Flexible and willing to travel throughout the designated territory.
• Able to participate in an on-call rota.
• Full UK driving licence required.
• Based within a commutable distance of Dumfries, Ayrshire, Glasgow or Edinburgh.
• Hold a minimum of NVQ Level 2, Scottish NVQ Level 2, or an equivalent qualification relevant to the role; must have legal right to work in the UK or valid visa.

Package

• Salary £50,000 DOE.
• Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm.
• On-call rota: 1 week in every 5.
• Overtime paid at time and a half on Saturdays; double time on Sundays.
• Company van provided with personal use permitted.
• Opportunity to work across a varied customer base throughout Scotland.
