Senior Quantity Surveyor (M&E) - Birmingham Salary: £70,000-£95,000 + Benefits + Bonus 🏢 The Opportunity A leading building services contractor is looking for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor (M&E) to take commercial responsibility for major mechanical and electrical projects across Birmingham. This role suits someone who combines technical expertise with strong commercial instincts and enjoys working on complex, high‑value schemes. 🔑 Key Responsibilities Cost Management - Lead cost planning, forecasting, and financial control across multiple M&E packages. Contract Administration - Manage NEC/JCT contracts, variations, change control, and claims. Procurement & Subcontract Management - Oversee procurement, negotiate subcontract packages, and manage supply chain performance. Commercial Reporting - Produce accurate CVRs, valuations, and monthly commercial reports. Risk & Opportunity Management - Identify commercial risks and opportunities to protect and enhance project margins. Stakeholder Collaboration - Work closely with project managers, engineers, and clients to support successful project delivery. 🎯 About You Strong experience as an M&E Quantity Surveyor, ideally at Senior level. Background working for an M&E contractor or building services specialist. Excellent understanding of NEC and JCT contract forms. Confident communicator with strong negotiation and analytical skills.
