Yard Operative

About the Role We are currently looking for a reliable and hardworking Yard Operative to join our team. The role involves unloading containers filled with various materials and supporting general yard operations. This is an early-start position, ideal for someone who prefers to finish work by midday and enjoys working outdoors in a hands-on environment. This is a temp-to-perm opportunity, offering long-term progression. Once permanent, the role will expand to include a wider range of warehouse duties and responsibilities. Key Responsibilities * Unloading materials from containers safely and efficiently * Handling and moving goods within the yard * Ensuring materials are organised and stored correctly * Maintaining a clean and tidy work area * Following all health and safety procedures What We’re Looking For * Good level of physical fitness (manual handling involved) * Reliable with strong timekeeping (early starts essential) * Ability to work as part of a team * Positive attitude and strong work ethic * Previous yard or warehouse experience is beneficial but not essential What We Offer * Temp-to-perm opportunity with long-term prospects * Opportunity to move into broader warehouse duties once permanent * Consistent part-time hours (3–4 days per week) * Early finishes (around midday) * Friendly and supportive team environment * Full training provided
