Deputy Manager

Deputy Manager - Children's Residential Home Birmingham Salary: Up to £35,000 per annum 40 hours per week We are looking for an experienced and committed Deputy Manager to join a 5-bedded children's residential home in Birmingham. This is a hands-on role, ideal for someone who enjoys being actively involved in the day-to-day running of a home while also supporting the Registered Manager with the operational and administrative side of the service. The role will be approximately 50% floor-based and 50% office-based. When working on the floor, you will be responsible for supervising staff, delegating duties, supporting the team and helping to ensure the children receive consistently high standards of care. The office-based element will involve assisting the Registered Manager with the smooth running of the home, including paperwork, care planning, staff support, compliance and other management responsibilities. What we are looking for The successful candidate must: Have previous experience working within a children's residential home Hold a minimum of NVQ Level 3 in Children and Young People / Residential Childcare or equivalent Have experience supervising, supporting or leading staff Be confident delegating responsibilities and managing a shift Have excellent communication and organisational skills Demonstrate honesty, integrity and professionalism Be flexible with working hours to meet the needs of the home Be passionate about providing a safe, supportive and positive environment for children and young people This would be an excellent opportunity for an experienced Senior Residential Support Worker, Team Leader or existing Deputy Manager looking to take the next step in their career.
