About the role
Site ManagerWater Treatment | London | ContractAn established UK infrastructure contractor is seeking an experienced Site Manager to join their AMP8 framework delivery team. You will take a leading role managing a major water treatment upgrade project in London, overseeing the construction of a new Rapid Gravity Treatment Plant and associated works on an operational clean water treatment site.The RoleReporting to the Project Manager, you will hold full accountability for day-to-day site operations, with responsibility spanning safety, programme, commercial and quality. This is a hands-on leadership role managing a site team and supply chain on a technically complex water sector project.Key ResponsibilitiesDay-to-day management of site operations including supervision of the site team and supply chainPlan, monitor and control programme, coordinating multiple packages of work concurrentlyTake ownership of costs for your allocated section of works in conjunction with the commercial teamCapture and manage all changes in scope across operations, commercial, programme and designConduct regular H&S checks and CDM audits; ensure RAMS, Permit to Work and induction systems are in placeAttend client and stakeholder meetings, building effective working relationshipsEnsure all works are carried out to the latest design information with strict quality control maintainedIdentify temporary works requirements and undertake value engineering solutionsReport on progress and performance to the Project Manager and assist with cost forecasting and reportingLead and develop direct reports, conducting annual PDRs and monitoring team competencyRequirementsEssential qualifications & certifications:HNC or higher in Civil or Mechanical EngineeringSMSTSCSCSEUSR National Water HygieneEUSR 1 & 2Temporary Works Coordinator (TWC)First AidFire MarshalSkills & experience:Proven experience managing multiple or large packages of civil works on live sitesStrong working knowledge of NEC contracts and CDM 2015 regulationsCommercially astute with the ability to manage cost, programme and change effectivelyExperience of M&E works on water or utilities projectsWater industry background — treatment works experience is highly advantageousAbility to read and interpret drawings, specifications and schedulesStrong leadership, delegation and problem-solving skillsProficient in Office 365; CAD familiarity an advantageWhat’s on OfferYou will be joining an established environment and water delivery team working within a major AMP8 framework at a time of significant UK water sector investment.
