Consultant Company Secretary (Part-time/portfolio role) - 3760

Our client is looking for a self-employed Consultant Company Secretary for a portfolio of three companies. They already have in place a successful arrangement in sharing the services of an experienced senior Company Secretarial Consultant, who will be retiring at the end of 2026, so the three companies working together seek a successor to take over this portfolio, ideally from early 2027.

The role involves managing agendas for Board and Committee Meetings, attending those meetings and taking Minutes and dealing with secretarial matters relating to the Annual General Meetings, as well as providing general company secretarial support. The current individual estimates that he spends circa 85 - 100 days a year across all three companies. The lovely thing about this role is that it is an already existing portfolio arrangement which is a tested and proven success, we therefore know that the duties and time allocated are realistic and that the arrangement between the three companies already works smoothly in practice.

The role would suit an experienced and fully qualified individual (CGI or legal qualification), someone who has good Board facing experience and who now can offer their services on a self-employed basis (day rate). xwzovoh The majority of the meetings are held online, so the work can be handled largely remotely - but there will be occasions when you need to travel to attend an in-person Board meeting at the company concerned (travel expenses paid) – the client head offices are in Cheshire, Gloucestershire and Lincolnshire.
