The RoleWe are looking for a motivated Microbiologist to join our team at Arcinova in Alnwick. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge pharmaceutical development, working within a GMP environment supporting sterile product manufacture.You will play a key role in developing, validating, and applying microbiological methodologies, while ensuring compliance with GxP standards and engaging directly with clients.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop, validate, and report microbiological methodologiesApply microbiological techniques to support quality control and stability studiesConduct environmental monitoring within a GMP manufacturing facility, including during sterile manufacturingPrepare protocols, review data, and critically assess results generatedProduce and review technical reports, quality documents, and training materialsEnsure all data is recorded in compliance with GxP and internal proceduresSupport microbiology operations, including equipment ownership, validation, and consumables managementCollaborate across departments to meet business needsMaintain a strong focus on health, safety, and regulatory complianceAbout YouBSc (Hons) or equivalent in a relevant scientific disciplineExperience with pharmaceutical microbiological methodologiesUnderstanding of GMP and regulatory requirementsSome knowledge of the drug development lifecycleStrong written and verbal communication skillsAbility to critically analyse data and problem-solve effectivelyFlexible, proactive, and able to manage multiple prioritiesWhat to ExpectA fast-paced environment with high attention to detailOpportunities to work on diverse and technically challenging projectsClient-facing responsibilities and cross-functional collaborationOccasional requirement to work outside standard hoursA strong safety culture within a regulated GMP settingEligibility to Work in the UKPlease note that this position is not eligible for sponsorship under the UK points-based immigration system.
