• Lead the mechanical design and development of precision-engineered rotating equipment, including motors, pumps, compressors, turbines, or gearbox assemblies.
• Produce detailed 3D CAD models, assemblies, and manufacturing drawings (preferably using SolidWorks).
• Conduct engineering calculations, stress analysis, tolerance analysis, and material selection.
• Provide technical oversight and guidance to junior engineers and design technicians.
• Ensure designs meet relevant performance, cost, compliance, and manufacturing requirements.
• Collaborate with internal teams across R&D, production, testing, and quality to deliver robust, manufacturable solutions.
• Participate in design reviews, risk assessments, FMEAs, and continuous improvement activities.

Candidate Profile:

• Degree-qualified in Mechanical Engineering or similar discipline.
• Extensive experience in the design and development of rotating machinery or high-speed mechanical systems.
• Strong proficiency in 3D CAD and technical drawing creation (SolidWorks preferred).
• Demonstrated understanding of mechanical design theory, structural integrity, thermodynamics, and dynamics of rotating systems.
• Familiarity with relevant industry codes and standards (API, ISO, ASME, etc.).
• Able to lead design projects from concept through to production release.
• Confident communicator with the ability to influence technical discussions and decision-making.

Desirable Experience:

• FEA (e.g. ANSYS) and/or CFD simulation tools.
• Experience with high-integrity or safety-critical equipment.
• Knowledge of condition monitoring, vibration analysis, or thermal management.
• Prior experience working within a regulated or ISO-certified design environment.
